With all modern facilities, the Keep is set on the edge of the ancient village of Pendleton, nestled below Pendle Hill in the heart of the Ribble Valley. We are just off the A59 and just 2 miles from the nearby market of Clitheroe and all local amenities.

Surroundings
Pendleton is a picturesque village with a local pub, The Swan with Two Necks, within walking distance serving excellent real ales and tasty, good value home-cooked food.

The Ribble Valley is a wonderful place for a getaway with lots to offer the visitor. The area has many cycling routes and walking trails for all ages and energy levels. You can take on the award winning cycling trails of Gisburn Forest or amble around the tranquil Stocks Reservoir.

The Forest of Bowland rewards the visitor with wonderful, undiscovered and open landscapes and stunningly attractive villages.
Nearby
From the garden, Pendle Hill offers a challenging climb for those wishing to look over the nearby Yorkshire Dales before deciding whether or not to ascend them. A half-hour's drive brings you to the Dales, Malham and its limestone pavement and Skipton.

Within an hour's drive are Harrogate, Liverpool, Manchester, Lancaster, the Lake District and the National Trust property of Gawthorpe Hall as well as the RHS gardens at Harlow Carr.
